Dublin is the capital and largest city in Ireland. It is situated on the east coast of Ireland and is approximately 160 miles from Cork, the next largest city in the Republic, and 100 miles from Belfast the largest city in Northern Ireland.

The Dublin 2 (postal code) area of the city consists of much of the southeast side of the city centre and is home to some of its most interesting quarters. These include Trinity College, Stephen's Green and the Grafton Street area. Dublin City has enjoyed rapid development in recent years due to unprecedented economic growth, and this can be easily seen in this part of the city. There has been an expansion in trading and banking aswell as manufacturing and processing. The area of Dublin city from Harcourt Terrace and its environs back down to Stephens Green and Dame Street is full of legal, financial, government and sundry business which act as one of many lifelines for the city's growth.

There is a constantly developing infrastructure in Dublin City with all manner of transport and public services. The main public transport in Dublin is the bus and rail network which has continuous routes throughout this part of the city. The main bus station for intercity routes is to be found at Busaras (Beresford Place on the northside of the city); the main train station in the immediate area is Pearse Street. The main intercity train stations are at Heuston and Connolly (situated on Amiens Street beside Busaras).

Područje Dublin City-ja od Harcourt Terrace-a i predgrađa do Stephen's Green-a i ulice Dame Street je puno pravnih, finansijskih, upravnih i drugih poslovnih zgrada koje predstavljaju jedan od mnogih stubova razvitka ovog grada.

Infrastruktura Dublin City-ja se konstantno razvija, uključujući i sve vidove transportnih i javnih službi. Glavno prevozno sredstvo u Dablinu čine autobuska i železnička mreža koje u ovom delu grada imaju i kružne linije. Glavna međugradska autobuska stanica se nalazi u Busaras-u (Beresford Place u severnom delu grada); glavna železnička stanica u njenoj neposrednoj blizini se nalazi u ulici Pearse Street. Glavne međugradske železničke stanice se nalaze u Heuston-u i u Connolly-ju (smeštena u ulici Amiens Street pokraj Busaras-a).
